Free dental treatment for kids?

Paul Millist

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a government initiative that covers all or part of basic dental services for children under 18 years old, to the value of $1,052 across two consecutive years.

CDBS supports parents of all backgrounds to provide their children with quality dental care. At Renew Dental Lounge, we believe in building a foundation for great dental habits as soon as your little ones get their first teeth, we’ll happily check your child’s eligibility!

Who is eligible?

Your child is eligible for CDBS if all of the following apply:

  • They’re aged 0-17 years old
  • They’re eligible for Medicare
  • You or your child receive an eligible Australian Government payment such as:

What does it cover?

At Renew Dental Lounge, we’re able to provide the following services at no additional cost to you under CDBS:

  • Check-ups
  • X-rays
  • Cleaning
  • Fissure sealing
  • Fillings
  • Root canals
  • Extractions

Unfortunately, orthodontic or cosmetic dental work are not eligible under CDBS, however we have payment plan options available should you wish to proceed with treatment for your child.
